Resource portfolio definition
The Definition screen opens the resource portfolio (team) record. It has three tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| General | Portfolio identity (name, description, status, options) |
| Members | Portfolio sharing (Owner, Reader) |
| Resources | Team composition (attached users and generic resources) |
Reached through the Definition / Members menu of a resource portfolio.
"General" tab
Configure your team's identity:
- Name (required) — Label displayed in the selector and screen titles
- Description — Free text describing the team and its business scope
- Status — Portfolio state (active, dormant, archived)
- Color — Identifier color of the team in consolidated views
- Manager — Hierarchical team manager, used to route requests (timesheet validation, leave)
The Save button persists changes. The trash button permanently deletes the portfolio — without affecting the resources or projects.
"Resources" tab
Add or remove the resources composing the team:
- FoxPlan users that already exist
- Generic resources (vendors, pools, machines) created in Settings → Workspace → Member
For each added resource:
- % allocation to the team — Share of total capacity dedicated to this team (useful when a person is shared across multiple teams)
- Attachment period — Start date and (optional) end date of the attachment
- Business role in the team — Architect, developer, project manager, etc.
A resource can belong to multiple resource portfolios, with percentages adding up to 100%.

Good habit
Give each team a short, evocative name ("Web Front", "Data", "Ops"). This is the name that appears in the consolidated portfolio filters.
