Portfolio budget
The Budget screen consolidates the financial envelopes of the portfolio's projects. It offers a multi-project read that project budget screens do not provide.
Reached through the Budget menu of a project portfolio.
Overview
| Indicator | Description |
|---|---|
| Budget allocated | Sum of initial envelopes of the projects |
| Committed | Total already committed spend (orders, contracts) |
| Actual | Total of paid spend and valued timesheets |
| Remaining to spend | Allocated − Actual |
| Variance | (Actual + remaining to commit) − Allocated |
The achievement rate and variance are color-coded: green ≤ 90%, orange 90–100%, red > 100%.
Cross views
- By project — One line per project, columns: allocated, committed, actual, variance
- By budget line — Pivots on the lines defined in Settings → Budget
- By period — Monthly, quarterly or annual breakdown
- By sponsor / division — When your projects carry an organizational classification
Filters
- Period — Current year, forecast, prior fiscal year
- Currency — Auto-conversion when multiple currencies (parameterized exchange rates)
- Include archived projects — For historical analyses
Actions
- CSV / Excel export — For executive committee
- Drill-down — Click a row to open the detailed Project budget
